Alice will endure it.
The fireplace that won’t extinguish at certain times, the strange rabbit that appeared only to ram full force into the glass, and the hysterical rumors that surround the manor she was hired to house-sit. All the while, she holds onto the little bit of reality she has left, experiencing ghostly encounters with 2 children long since passed. Merely hallucinations, she assumes. Regardless, it’s all well worth the money.
But although these lingering souls have no ties to Alice, she will soon find out that Death does not cater to the living—even if she is able to witness their End.
